Harry was born in Albourne, Sussex, England on May 31st 1998. He has always been a country dog at heart and spent his puppyhood at his home on the edge of Send Village. Harry currently spends his day times during the week on the edge of West Horsley, working as the Chief Food Supervisor and sheep minder on a part time basis as he has now retired. After living in Godalming for many years, a town he loves very much, he currently resides in Ewell having just sold his Godalming house. Harry intends on moving back to Godalming next year though.
As a puppy Harry decided to dedicate his entire life to food, especially watching, locating and eating it. This, of course, has consumed his life ever since and he is very dedicated to the cause. Harry grew up with, and is still best friends with, Wooster, a Cocker Spaniel with a penchant for leg hugging and being annoyingly emotional as Cockers can be sometimes. A later arrival, Turnip, is not Harry’s favourite friend as she constantly does irritating things like jumping up at his mouth and biting him for no apparent reason. Turnip, is a rather runtish looking, wire haired, Jack Russell that resembles a skinny, dwarf goat. The three of them liked nothing better than the daily hunt in the rabbit rich gardens of the house in Send and the surrounding fields. This is where Turnip’s incredible hunting ability made up for her lack of pleasant personality for Harry.
Apparently, Harry obtained the rank of Captain whilst in the Labradorian Dog Army. He served for five years with the Light Dragoons and was later awarded the MBE (Member of the British Empire) for services to the Empire although no one seems too sure of what these services actually were, I can only take his word for it.
Harry’s favourite food is pigs ear or rather sow’s ear because they are bigger. He is also very partial to raw whole rabbits but really anything will do as long as it isn’t raw onion or lettuce. Surprisingly Harry is quite happy munching on raw Brussel Sprouts.
